Tasting Notes: Our newest Maximus release - and with more Cabernet than ever before. The blend for the 2009 vintage is 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Syrah, 5% Malbec, 4% Merlot, & 4% Petit Verdot. The wine opens with bright aromas of dark cherry, blueberry and cassis. On the palate, the wine displays flavors of rich blackberry, bing cherry and mocha. With elegant, velvety tannins, the wine has a long fruit driven finish and enough tannin structure to age elegantly.
