Notes from the Winemaker: Its compelling aromas of plum, black current, dark chocolate herbs and a vanilla backbone give it a rich and textured mouth feel. The layered tannins are slowly creating a tight structure with highlights of earthy dark fruits, cassis, and pencil lead surrounded by a toast of 100% new French Oak. We chose the oak from the centre of France’s Vosges forest to showcase the power and finesse this wine deserves. Powerful and full-bodied in the mid palate, its entry constitutes a solid frame and long savory finish.
